AVChat IM is developed by a small team inside AVChat Software, a young, transparent, well funded, profitable software company from Romania (yes Dracula and Nadia). We do weapons grade applications for online communities like dating and social networks. Our flagship product so far, a group video chat, helps online communities get together online with audio and video.
And now we've turned our attention to the Instant Messenger space.

AVChat Software was funded in 2009 by Octavian Naicu after several years spent with working as CTO at young S.F. startup click.tv and Cisco EOS.

Naicu is in charge of the product. He handles the research, establishes product direction and finally the feature set and deadlines. He's also the leader of the pack keeping everyone in good working order. Inside AVChat Software this is his 8'th product that's going through his hands.

Mihai handles the development of the IM client that everyone sees in their internet browser. He makes sure the IM looks and behaves the same on our top of the line MacBook's and on your mother's old PC with IE6.
Dragos is the one in charge of architecturing and developing our insanely efficient server side platform that makes everything click. He's also responsible for its security and uptime which means he also does all the logistics for the build process.
Cosmo is the IM's watchdog, he always keeps us on our toes. He spends his time checking everything head to toe before we do a IM build.
